Samsung keeps working on the Bixby button to compete with Sirs, Alexa, and Google.
But people now who own the note 9 just hate the Bixby button.
Unlike the previous model, You can not disable the Bixby button now.
But it seems things are going to turn around.
That Bixby button is controversial. It’s in an easily accessible place, and a light touch on it will bring up the Bixby Home. As the Galaxy Note 9 featured Bixby 2.0, Samsung made the decision that users would not be able to disable the Bixby button, even though older versions of the code allowed this on previous devices.
That looks set to change, as Samsung listens to user feedback and allows the Bixby button to be deactivated when the Note 9 is showing the Lock screen.
It’s not a complete disablement, as a long press on the button will still trigger Bixby Voice as it listens for vocal commands. Neither is it the solution that many power users want to see - where the button can be configured to launch any application - but it will stop Bixby from showing up by accident to interrupt your flow.
